Where does the name Barket come from and what does it mean?
The Barket is a small family owned business specializing in personalized dog treats, custom made dog shirts, and various other pet related items. We have been in business since 2006. Our name comes from a combination of the word Bark and Market to represent a place for dogs to shop.

Can I special order a Barket dog treat or doggy t-shirt that's not on your site?
If you are interested in an item that needs special requirements, please feel free to contact us. Many of our items can be special ordered. Please let us know!

Classic Barket Dog Treats and Cakes
How long do your dog treats last and how should they be stored?
Most of our fresh baked biscuit type dog treats last an average of 4-6 weeks. The softer treats such as our dog cupcakes and regular dog birthday cakes last about 2 weeks. Our treats do not need to be refrigerated, but we do recommend storing them at room temperature and out of extreme heat or cold.

Are Barket treats safe for dogs and do you use preservatives?
All of our Barket treats are dog safe, using only natural human grade ingredients. We never use preservatives, sugar or salt. The decorations you see are all either carob or yogurt, which are both dog safe ingredients. As a matter of fact, we have personally tasted each of our treats, and we give them to our own dogs. My dog is allergic to wheat, do you offer wheat-free gourmet treats?
Yes. Our Peanut Butter Cups are wheat-free. We are adding new products and ingredients to our line up all the time so please check back often.

I don't see the color options I like for my dog's birthday cake, can I make a special request?
Yes, we will be happy to accommodate your request, we know how special your dog's birthday is. Please contact us and we will be glad to help you in picking the right colors of your cake.

How far in advance should I order a birthday cake for my dog's special occasion?
We recommend having the cake arrive to you at least 1-2 days prior to your party to ensure that everything is okay. Please take the delivery time into account as well.

Shipping Information
Does The Barket ship outside the outside of the U.S.?
Currently we only offer shipping in the United States only. We plan to expand service to more areas in the future.

When will I receive my order?
Most orders will be shipped Priority MailŪ with the United States Postal Service and generally have a ship time of 2-3 business days after your order is processed, however we will utilize other shipping methods at our discretion. Each item on our site has an estimated time of when the order will ship. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail with tracking information after you place your order. These are estimated times only! Please contact us if you need expedited service.

How much will my shipping cost?
Shipping charges are based on the total weight of your order. Large items such as beds and furniture include extra shipping surcharges for dimensions and oversize weights which are added into the total shipping charges. If shipping charges will be more than what was calculated during checkout, we will contact you via e-mail.
